Favorite Books of 2018

As we approach the end of another year, it’s time to look back and reflect on all the amazing books that I discovered. As of November, I had already completed my Goodreads Challenge. I’m currently finishing up book #45 for the year. I probably would’ve been able to squeeze a few more in, had I not being spending so much time on my own book, but c’est la vie. It seems like a good trade off.

Of all the books I’ve read this year, a handful of them really stood out enough to make my list of “favorites.” If you’re a regular reader of mine, I’m sure you can already guess which ones I’m going to pick. 😛

Darker Shades of Magic trilogy by V.E. Schwab (My reviews: herehere, and here)

35052265

Bloody Rose by Nicholas Eames (Review here)

5084

My Life in France by Julia Child (Review here)

3777732

City of Glass by Cassandra Clare (Review here)

16788

Fragile Things by Neil Gaiman (Review here)

12868761

Let’s Pretend This Never Happened by Jenny Lawson (Review here)

It’s hard to narrow it down to just a few, isn’t it? What were some of your favorites this year?

    1. I don’t know how the hell people can fit 100+ books in like that. Work makes that pretty much impossible for me. It doesn’t bother me though. I’d much rather enjoy the books I read than feel like I’m rushing through them.

      1. Very true.👍 I’m a slow reader, that can, on occasion fly through a book but I have to be in the right mood, have the time, etc and when I do fly through one I feel sad it’s over and that I’ve read it so quickly. I couldn’t do it all the while and I’m sure people that read a book per day or every couple of days do enjoy them but I couldn’t. I agree with you, I’d rather enjoy the book than rush it.👍
