Ringing in the New Year Tag

Thanks to Sophie @ Blame it on Chocolate, I am participating in the Ringing in the New Year Tag. Sophie’s blog always makes me super hungry because, well, chocolate. You should definitely check her blog out, unless you don’t like chocolate. (Which is weird because who the hell doesn’t like chocolate?)

Best Book and/or Series That You Read in 2017 It’s hard to pinpoint one favorite, but I’m probably going to have to go with A Court of Thorns and Roses for favorite series and Furiously Happy for my favorite stand-alone book. (I know, I’m cheating by answering this way. Try to stop me. 😛 )

Authors That You Recently Discovered and Would Like to Read More Of I’ve only read one book by Naomi Novik so far, but I really enjoyed it. I’d like to check out her new stand-alone book coming out later this year and the Temeraire series. (Have any of you read the Temeraire books yet? What did you think?)

Most Anticipated Book Turned Movie/TV Show? The TV adaptation of Good Omens

Name a Character That You Wouldn’t Mind Sharing a Kiss With at Midnight Either Rhysand from the Court of Thorns and Roses, given that he’s described as being hot, tattooed, and good in bed. 😉 (Oh wait, we were just supposed to be talking about kissing…)

What’s on Your TBR for 2018? (Top 5-10 Will Suffice) SO MANY BOOKS. This is what’s at the top of the list (for now):

How Many Books Do You Hope to Read in 2018? I’m setting my goal for 40. Last year I surpassed my goal and I am hoping to do the same this year, but I don’t want to stress myself out over it.

Will You Participate in the Goodreads Reading Challenge or Any Others? I’m doing the Goodreads challenge again.

Any New Years Resolutions? (Bookish, Blogging, and Otherwise) Other than my goal to read 40 books, I would like to blog more and make more headway on the books I’ve been writing. Thus far, I’ve been doing pretty well with this. I have some personal goals, as far as working towards recovery and self-care goes, but I will save that for a future post.

  1. Wonderful goals here! Sounds like you’re going to have an excellent bookish year!
It’s so cool to read that you’re in the process of writing books, I’ve been wanting to do so for the longest but have a huge fear of going insane from it or just completely failing at it. Lots of luck to you! 🙂

    1. I can’t wait to see Good Omens on the scree, especially because of David Tenant. It’s up in the air as to whether it will be out in 2018 or 2019 though. I hope it’s sooner rather than later.
